Two more information, education and communication (IEC) campaigns have been conducted by Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E), the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Dalaw-Turo Team and Atimonan Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) in Barangay Caridad Ilaya and Brgy. Caridad Ibaba in Atimonan, Quezon last May 24.

 

Some 94 residents attended the activity. These sessions bring the total number of IECs conducted to five for this year. There will be 11 more sessions that will be conducted in different parts of Atimonan for the rest of the year.

A1E’s “Malayang Talakayan, Angat Kaalaman” IEC campaign involves a series of group discussions in a bid to communicate updates about the company’s projects and programs for the community.

 

In its recent information drive, the company provided an update regarding the recent Supreme Court decision which is to mandate all generations companies and electric cooperatives to undergo the Competitive Selection Process (CSP).

 

A1E is the developer of a 2×600 megawatt (MW) state-of-the-art coal-fired power plant in the town of Atimonan in Quezon province.
