Staff from the local government of Atimonan while checking the personal protective equipment and medical supplies provided by Atimonan One Energy, Inc. for the health workers and fronliners as their protection against COVID-19 outbreak.
In the midst of the global health crisis due to the COVID-19, different sectors in the municipality of Atimonan are working together to help fight the pandemic.
As part of its commitment to support the local government in this crisis, Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E) provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including six boxes of N95 face masks, 450 pieces of washable face masks,100 gallons of alcohol and 10 boxes of surgical gloves for the municipality’s frontliners.
While Atimonan has no confirmed COVID-19 case, the local government led by Municipal Mayor Rustico Joven Mendoza, is focused on keeping the 42 barangays free from the disease.
A1E’s technical partners Delta Earthmoving, Inc., Dinamico Construction, Beton Bau Construction, Inc. and Rexsun Development and Consulting Corporation also supported the local government by providing financial assistance and distributing food for residents of barangays Caridad Ilaya and Caridad Ibaba, and the volunteers manning the checkpoints in Atimonan.
In addition, A1E also scheduled special boat trips in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard so residents from Barangay Villa Ibaba can go to the town to buy basic necessities.
Atimonan is currently implementing an Enhanced Community Quarantine, and a home quarantine pass has been issued to each household. A multi-agency task force was also formed to come up with mitigating measures and action plans aimed at safeguarding the people of Atimonan.
The A1E management on March 18 also suspended all site activities and implemented a work-from-home system to protect its employees and contractors and help contain the spread of COVID-19.
