Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E) was recognized by Atimonan Central Elementary School (ACES) last March 27 for its significant contribution to the development and improvement of the school’s educational facilities.
The company was among the 16 organizations and individuals who received acknowledgement during the “Araw ng Pasasalamat” celebration, when the school gave plaques of appreciation to its partners who actively support the Department of Education’s Adopt-a-School and Brigada Eskwela programs. Other notable awardees included Congresswoman Helen Tan, Atimonan Mayor Rustico Joven Mendoza, and Board Member Rhodora Tan.
The recognition that A1E received would not have been possible without the financial support from One Meralco Foundation (OMF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco).
“We are really thankful to the businesses and private individual partners who are working together to make a positive impact on the lives of our students,” said Yolanda Paunil, ACES Principal.
Through the Adopt-a-School and Brigada Eskwela programs, the school’s partners provided construction materials for the development and maintenance of school facilities, furniture, learning materials and other projects with a goal to provide a better learning environment for the students. Financial assistance to students who are in need were also given.
“It takes a village to educate a child,” Carmelo Eusebio P. Altamira, ACES District Supervisor, for his part, said. “We are thanking every single one of our partners for their continuous support that has immensely helped in the improvement of the quality of education in public schools.”
In line with its corporate social responsibility program on education, A1E values the importance of creating a holistic learning experience through the improvement of educational facilities and provision of school supplies and other learning materials.
